Role Description
-
We’re looking for an Electronics & Firmware Intern to help develop a custom battery testing system used to evaluate performance under real-world conditions.
This is a hands-on role focused on building a battery testing platform (not a BMS) — combining electronics, embedded systems, and data logging.
You’ll be working on a system that can:
- Apply controlled discharge (current/power)
- Test high discharge rates
- Log performance data (voltage, current, temperature)
- Enable repeatable and accurate testing
This position is on-site / hybrid.
What You’ll Work On
- Designing and building a battery testing jig
- Implementing controlled load systems (constant current, variable discharge)
- Working with high-current circuits and power components (MOSFETs, loads)
- Writing firmware for microcontrollers (STM32, Arduino, ESP32, etc.)
- Integrating sensors (current, voltage, temperature)
- Developing data logging systems (SD card, serial, etc.)
- Debugging both hardware and firmware
Qualifications
- 3rd or 4th year student in Electrical, Mechatronics, or similar
- Strong fundamentals in electronics and embedded systems
- Experience with C/C++ (embedded)
- Comfortable working with real hardware (not just simulations)
Bonus if you have:
- Experience with power electronics or high-current systems
- PCB design experience (KiCad, Altium, etc.)
- Hands-on projects involving hardware + firmware integration
- Experience with data logging or testing setups
