Prototype Toronto is looking for a creative and data-driven SEO Specialist – Content Developer to join our team. In this role, you’ll focus on optimizing website content, developing high-quality, engaging copy, and implementing SEO strategies to improve our search rankings and drive organic traffic. You’ll play a key role in crafting content that resonates with our target audiences while ensuring that it aligns with search engine best practices.

Key Responsibilities
- Research, plan, and write SEO-optimized content, including blogs, landing pages, product descriptions, and website copy, tailored to specific target audiences.
- Conduct in-depth keyword research to identify opportunities and create content strategies that align with search intent.
- Optimize on-page SEO elements, including meta titles, descriptions, headers, and internal links.
- Perform technical SEO audits and work with developers to fix issues such as site speed, crawl errors, and schema markup.
- Create and manage content calendars to ensure consistent publishing schedules.
- Conduct competitor analysis to understand market trends and identify content gaps.
- Collaborate with design and development teams to ensure all published content is visually appealing and mobile-friendly.
- Stay up to date on the latest SEO trends, algorithm updates, and best practices to refine strategies continuously.
- Monitor and report on content performance, including traffic, rankings, and engagement metrics.
Skill & Experience
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a portfolio showcasing SEO-optimized content.
- Strong understanding of SEO best practices, keyword research tools (e.g., Ahrefs, SEMrush), and content marketing strategies.
- Proficiency in analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
- Familiarity with technical SEO concepts like schema markup, site speed optimization, and XML sitemaps.
- Experience in link-building strategies and outreach campaigns.
